Day 22 – Larvik to Hirtshals (ferry day)

9 miles (14 km) – Total so far: 1,286 miles (2,070 km)

Morning thunder storms and torrential rain made me realise that conditions could have been worse yesterday. Fortunately I was just watching them looking up from my book. It was a busy ferry over to Denmark and schools there are back on Monday. It arrived just after 9 pm as the light was fading, and I rode just a few kilometres out of town and onto the coast road and found some sports pitches behind some trees, an ideal spot for the night.
