Day 31 – Bruchausen-Vilser to Hannover

57 miles (92 km) – Total so far: 1,845 miles (2,969 km)

Good Chinese food last night, indeed there are some decent restaurants in this town / village and they were busy.

Monday morning was a bit quiet and sleepy though, and breakfast being without any thrills I was on the road just after 10. I had planned the first two thirds of the ride well and managed to get on some really quiet and small roads. I knew though that the run into Hannover would be much less fun. Why Hannover? To avoid it would have been hard, and it’s a relatively small German city, also I have a hotel night to use up and fancied a city centre stay. I’ve had an upgrade also on the room, not surprising really as it is quiet at this time of year. Also good advice from the receptionist that there is a good bar very near, so will test that shortly.

I need to plan the route, just roughly, for the rest of the tour, as I need to be in Amsterdam on Sunday, and will do that later while I have decent internet.

Quote of the Week

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, ‘What road do I take?’ The cat asked, ‘Where do you want to go?’ ‘I don’t know,’ Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it really doesn’t matter, does it?’
