Day 30 – Rajcza (PL) to Město Albrechtice (CZ)

65 miles (105 km) – Total so far: 1,376 miles (2,214 km)

Cloudy cool morning leaving Rajcza

200 metre fairly gentle uphill to start the day, very scenic, up to 700 metres at the town of Zwardon

Into the Olza River valley, (back in Slovakia) and at Bistrica the traffic is getting very heavy.
Around Ostrava is very industrial, and these days I have no hesitation in taking a train across such areas, especially when it’s as convenient as this.
There were trips I did where I was determined to cycle every centimetre..but ‘I was so much older then’ and these days I prefer to spend time on tracks and quiet roads

It took me about an hour, a train into the centre and one out, and cost about 10 euros.

Some flat riding after the train, but all on cycle path 55, which was along minor roads.
This is the centre of Krnov.

After Krnov the cycle path starts to gain some height, but very steadily, heading for those hills in the background. A lot it from here is a dedicated cycle path.

Město Albrechtice, where I am tonight.
It’s a very quiet little place.

Quote of the Week

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, ‘What road do I take?’ The cat asked, ‘Where do you want to go?’ ‘I don’t know,’ Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it really doesn’t matter, does it?’
