Day 6 – At Valdelinares

Day 6 – At Valdelinares

A morning hike up the nearby Peñarroya peak, the highest in the area at 2028 metres.

The van rested today, up here at 1850 metres. The odd vehicle passes on the road a kilometre or so away, but otherwise it’s silent except for the odd bird. I read, Paolo Cognetti’s Without Ever Reaching The Summit, tidied the van, and mourned for the lost Test Match. The dog just sat outside and appreciated the cool and clear weather.

Quote of the Week

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, ‘What road do I take?’ The cat asked, ‘Where do you want to go?’ ‘I don’t know,’ Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it really doesn’t matter, does it?’
