Day 39 – at Güéjar Sierra

Day 39 – at Güéjar Sierra

The town of Güéjar Sierra is a couple of kilometres away. Something bigger than a village, but smaller than a town, with about 200 metres in height between the top house and the bottom house. I located the fruit and veg shop, and picked up some bread as well, before settling into the cafe on the main Plaza. I’m still nonplussed by the contrary position taken by the majority of Spaniards; they wear masks though no longer required to by law, inside or out, in their cars and on their bicycles, and yet they still manage to smoke. 80% of bars ignored the law that came in in 2006 outlawing smoking in public places, and yet the government here is about to ban smoking on bar and restaurant terraces also.

I spent a lazy afternoon reading and getting updated with some reviews.

Quote of the Week

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, ‘What road do I take?’ The cat asked, ‘Where do you want to go?’ ‘I don’t know,’ Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it really doesn’t matter, does it?’
