A high valley in the Durmitor.. a day in pictures

Suva Lovka valley, it’s lowest point at 1598 metres
Just a kilometre or so up the road from where I am staying
An early start for me, at 9:30 am, as it’s such a big day of sport later..
And because the temperature will get up to the late 20’s
There are 3 lakes here for 8 months a year.. they’ll be back in a few weeks
But right now, there’s just a trickle of a stream feeding one of them
All with the spectacular backdrop of the autumn colours
It’s got to be the best time of the year to be here..
It was just a 10 km out and back route, and a height gain of about 500 metres, pretty easy going, and no one else at all around

Quote of the Week

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, ‘What road do I take?’ The cat asked, ‘Where do you want to go?’ ‘I don’t know,’ Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it really doesn’t matter, does it?’
