Anatomy of a Fall / Anatomie d’une Chute

With its mesmerising backdrop of the Rhone Alps in winter, skilful camera work, subtle soundtrack, and great acting, this is gripping film, quite unpredictable as it delves into the intricacies and imperfections of the relationship of a wealthy and successful couple. It emerges that one of them is emotionally stronger than the other, and examines how two people, so close in one way, are so far apart in others, in how they deal with the drama and tragedy life throws at them. A film that provides plenty of discussion points.

Killers of the Flower Moon

I like Scorsese movies, and am not bothered if they happen to be long. It’s just necessary to be prepared and in the right mood. I actually watched this over two nights, 110 minutes each night. I think cutting it down to be any shorter would have deterred from the storyline.
There are great performances as you would expect from De Nero, Gladstone and DiCaprio, but it’s the smaller parts that I took most pleasure in, for example, Louis Cancelmi as Kelsie Morrison.
