Day 22 – Klin Camp, Soča gorge

Day 22 – Klin Camp, Soča gorge

I moved on today, but just a few kilometres down the Soča river, through a section in which it flows through a gorge, and was rewarded with a different perspective of the Julian Alps.

There are two campsites here, kept busy in the season by fly-fishermen and kayakers, but now with just one other van. It was a fine day, though the afternoon clouded and was cool.

There’s a restaurant here, and bar, both of which are open, but neither the food, veal stew with dumplings as menu of the day, or Kozel beer from Czech, appeals.

Quote of the Week

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, ‘What road do I take?’ The cat asked, ‘Where do you want to go?’ ‘I don’t know,’ Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it really doesn’t matter, does it?’
